"I have worked with Andrew for the last 4 years. I first engaged him while a tax manager with a large CPA firm and continue to use his services in my current role as the director of corporate tax for a private company with international operations. Whether it is discussing international tax planning ideas, compliance requirements, or retaining him to review the company's international tax filings, Andrew has proven invaluable. Andrew is extremely practical with his advice and is able to effectively communicate and break down complicated international tax issues. The most impressive thing about Andrew is his breadth of knowledge in the international tax arena. I have not stumped him yet."

"I would thoroughly recommend Andrew Mitchel to any businessperson needing to protect themselves against the complexities of the US tax code. Andrew assisted me in the sale of my international software business and, without his help, I might have encountered an additional - and unnecessary - tax bill of over $500,000. Very few small businesses are aware of the minefields contained in the US tax code that can literally rob entrepreneurs of their hard earned equity through imposing Subpart F income instead of capital gains. Even if you have a good M&A lawyer I'd still recommend Andrew's services to identify contractual pitfalls such as the proper tax treatment of non competes."

"I found myself needing expert international tax advice and I am very happy I found Andrew Mitchel. Andrew has a wealth of knowledge in international tax laws on issues that my accounting firm was not intimately familiar with. Having my CPA work with Andrew has saved me and my business thousands of dollars in potential IRS penalties. I would highly recommend you get on the phone with Andrew for a consultation and avoid yourself having to deal with IRS penalties and headaches for not properly filing the appropriate tax forms."

"I feel fortunate to have been introduced to Andrew. My international and domestic tax structuring needs are/were very complex given my long-term expatriate living arrangements, my multi-jurisdictional investment structures and numerous state and federal issues that I needed to address. Andrew has become a valued and trusted advisor on whom I rely without reservation. I certainly intend to collaborate with him for the coming decades, and would be happy to (continue to) refer friends, family and colleagues to him."

"As a sole practitioner CPA, it is often difficult to find answers to complicated tax issues, especially in the area of foreign taxation. When one of my clients introduced me to Andrew Mitchel, I knew he would be a key resource for foreign tax issues arising in my practice. Since then, Andrew has provided excellent technical assistance when helping me analyze my client's foreign tax issues and has been a pleasure to deal with - I highly recommend him."

"I am a CPA specializing in international taxes. There are many times when I am working on a client's tax return or planning that I get stumped over the proper interpretation of a technical matter. I have found that Andrew is the perfect person to consult on complex/uncertain technical matters, as he possesses a unique blend of practicality and technical brilliance that I have not previously found in tax attorneys or CPAs specializing in international tax. He is also very easy to work with, and eager to get to the point of the question while also bringing up other practical considerations. As one of many examples, I consulted Andrew on the implications of a self-employed individual holding a foreign pension. He responded with regulatory authority and a PLR that was on point, while also commenting with clarity on the extent of the uncertainty in the law. I would highly recommend Andrew to anyone who needs advice on technical matters with respect to U.S. international tax."

"Our tax firm was in desperate need of an external network of advice for complex international taxation matters and were so fortunate to be introduced to Andrew Mitchel and his law firm a few years ago. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and highly responsive. Not to mention his willingness to explain the most complex issues in a clear format. Andrew's comprehensive knowledge of tax codes and their interaction to our constant questions has given our firm much relief that we are providing our clients with the best possible advice. Andrew continues to be an absolute VITAL part of our business. 100% recommended."
